What is Slide Switch

A slide switch is an electromechanical device that controls the current flow in a circuit path.The series of devices are driven by sliding mechanical switches. The slide switch uses a slider that moves from the open (off) position to the closed (on) position.These characteristics include contact timing,circuit, switching function,voltage rating (AC or DC),current rating,and actuator type.

Application of Slide Switches

Sliding switches are most suitable for controlling current in small projects. Slide switches come in many terminal types, including leads, quick-connect ,feeders, screw terminals,welded terminals, or blade terminals, surface mount technology, and panel mount switches.
